The organization also seeks to document the rich history of companies and individuals who have shaped the industry throughout the decades. Since 2005, the Lumber Pioneers have published two monographs, featuring Pope & Talbot's Port Gamble, Washington sawmill and Gilchrist Timber Company. Eligibility Membership in the Lumber Pioneers is open to any individual employed for 20 years or more in the Western lumber industry.
