Slower lumber markets seen through 2008

Demand for lumber is forecast to slide in 2007 and 2008 as housing slows in the U.S., according to WWPA's new lumber forecast. See WWPA's outlook on lumber markets for the coming year.

Western production rises again in '05

Four consecutive years of record lumber demand pushed 2005 Western lumber production to the highest volume since 1990, according to final figures published by WWPA. For more on lumber demand and supply in 2005, click here.
