WWPA
offers a heat treatment certification program for mills to stamp
qualifying lumber with the KD - HT mark. This service is intended
to assist mills in supplying products that meet the standards for
wood packaging materials that may be exported.
In addition to using
heat-treated lumber, crating, pallets and other wood packaging materials
must carry an approved mark issued by an authorized American Lumber
Standard Committee agency. WWPA does not offer a certification
program for crating, palleting or wood packaging manufacturers.
