ALSC Considers Rate Hike

The American Lumber Standard Committee's (ALSC) Executive Committee met in Portland, OR on August 10, 2017. Among the agenda items was a recommendation to increase the Lumber Program dues rate for 2018 to 2.90 cents per thousand board feet from the current 2.60 per thousand. The recommended 2018 dues will be considered by the full ALSC committee at their meeting on November 3, 2017 for final approval.

The ALSC Lumber Program dues have remained the same for the previous 3 years (2015 - 2017). The Lumber Program has been operated in deficit each year since 2007 with the exception of 2015 and is projected to run a 2017 deficit. This recommended 2018 dues increase for the Lumber Program is projected to produce a balanced budget.

The amount of increase to each WWPA member company varies depending on their production volume as shown below.
